The relay is of the SPDT (Single Pole, Double Throw) type, meaning it has a common input (COM) and two outputs: one that is active when the relay is off (NC – Normally Closed) and one that is active when the relay is on (NO – Normally Open).
The NO terminal is rated for 40A, while the NC terminal is rated for 30A. So if the relay is only used for switching on a load, it can handle up to 40A.
The relay comes with an included plastic base, only designed for the waterproof relays. The base has pre-mounted wires on the terminals, ensuring quick and easy installation.
